The Fordham Prep Frosh Baseball Team improved to 2 -1 in league play. The Freshman overcame an 0 - 4 start, losing to Xaverian twice, Don Bosco, and Iona Prep to defeat Stepinac 9 - 2 and Mount St. Michael 10 - 5. On Thursday, Jack Becker (5 innings and 9 strikeouts) combined with Matt DiLecce (2 innings 4 strikeouts) for a no-hitter. The offense was consistent with 7 of the 9 starters getting at least 1 hit. Today, John Ward pitched 5 solid innings, striking out 7 batters. The offense was led by Steve Fondu, who went 4 - 4 with 4 RBI's. Garrett Leahy went 2 - 4, hitting the ball hard each at bat. Tomorrow the Rams travel out of league to Jersey City, NJ to face St. Peter's Prep.
