Late Inning Rally Keeps Frosh Win Streak Alive

In the top of the 6th, Michael Santeramo singled to start the rally. Allan Bronzo pinch ran and stole second. Dean Flamio then smashed a clutch shot to right center scoring Bronzo and tying the game at two. Three batters later Evan Williamson brought in the leading run with a hit over the third base bag. From there, Elio Fernandez (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings. He came up huge finishing with 3 innings pitched 1 hit, 1 walk, and 1 K. The Rams got another strong performance from Alex Depasquale (pictured) who pitched 4 innings striking out 6 and giving up 2 unearned runs. Greg Cunningham drove in the first run with a double in the first inning. Ryan Gilligan had another good game with a hit and a walk. He is now 4- 6 on the season. Overall it was a good team win for the Freshmen. Next week, the Rams will play 5 of the toughest teams in the area which will be a true test for the team. Next up, the Freshmen will again visit Mount Saint Michael on Monday, April 14th at 4:00.
